SignalMetrics ("the app") is provided free of charge by Geek Fix ("we", "us", "our") for personal and professional network-diagnostic use. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for that purpose, subject to these terms.
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its measurements, scan results, device identifications or reports will be accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose. Results are intended as a diagnostic aid and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any decision.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Geek Fix accepts no liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense — whether direct, indirect or consequential — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its results, including any decisions, quotations, installations or actions taken based on them.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
The SignalMetrics and Geek Fix names, logos, and all in-app branding, design and content are the property of Geek Fix and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The Geek Fix branding within the app must not be removed, altered, obscured, or otherwise tampered with. You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the app except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
The app is currently offered free of charge. Geek Fix reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to introduce paid, premium or commercial versions of SignalMetrics, and to change or discontinue features. Such versions may include additional options — including the ability to apply custom or personal branding — which are reserved features and are not permitted in the free version.
You must only use the app on networks that you own or are authorised to test. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to scan, probe or test any network on which you use the app. You must not use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that infringes the rights of others.
The app uses Cloudflare to perform speed and ISP-detection tests. Your use of those tests is also subject to Cloudflare's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
