/ The Story
Hi, I'm Alex. A family business, run by me and my wife Emma — built from scratch.
I started Geek Fix six weeks after our first child was born, stacking shelves at a local supermarket and teaching myself networking on the side. I'd always wanted to run my own business and IT had always come naturally to me — so I got certified, took the leap, and as they say the rest is history.
I'm a self-taught Network Engineer with a soft spot for the underdog. That's why we partnered with TP‑Link all those years ago — they recognise their installers, invest in certification, and back you with proper warranty and support. The kit is brilliant, and the partnership feels like a relationship, not a transaction.
Today it's still just the two of us — Emma looks after our customers, I look after the kit. Same pair of hands from your first call to the final speed test.
Every Geek Fix engineer is Enhanced DBS checked and signed up to the DBS Update Service, so it stays current rather than gathering dust in a drawer. Letting someone into your home should feel easy — happy to share certificate details if it puts your mind at rest.
